Urology examination

Every man should periodically undergo urological examinations; prostate screening at age 50 (detection of prostate cancer) or at 45 years of age with a family history of cancer, PSA and digitorectal examination.
What is a urological examination?
• Urological examination is an examination by a specialist urologist and consists of an insight into anamnestic data
• Sickness, previous surgery, medication the patient is taking.
• Symptoms associated with urological diseases and urinary disorders (diabetes, cardiac disease), nighttime urination
• Physical examination consists of palpation of the abdomen, inguinal canals, genital examination, testis and prostate by digitorectal examination.
When is a urological examination necessary?
Every man should undergo regular urological examinations; prostate screening at the age of 50 (detection of prostate cancer) or at 45 years of age, persons with a family history of cancer, PSA and digitorectal examination.
All women and men who notice blood in the urine without symptoms should contact a urologist immediately to find out the cause of the bleeding.
Any man who has felt a bulge in his testicles, a lump, especially a young person.
All pregnant women who undergo pediatric surgery for urogenital anomalies (vesicoureteral reflux, hydronephrosis ..) should be followed by a urologist during pregnancy.
