Laser therapy

Laser Therapy is a type of physical therapy that uses laser as a treatment method. Laser Therapy is a painless, non-invasive method used in the treatment of painful conditions, injuries, wounds, fractures and neurological diseases. It can be used when conventional physical therapy methods are not effective or when accelerating the healing process after injury is required. The treatment lasts 15 to 30 minutes. Depending on the condition or condition being treated, it is necessary to perform 4 to 15 treatments.

WHY IT IS DONE/ INDICATIONS?

Laser therapy is used in the treatment of:

Inflammation of the bones and soft tissues (eg in rheumatoid arthritis, bursitis, tendonitis).

• Stretching, twisting and other injuries.

• Pain (in muscles, in the neck or loin parts of the spine).

A LASER EFFECT?

Laser beams (different wavelengths) pass through all layers of the skin and penetrate deeper into the tissue.

The laser works in:

• Reduces pain (analgesic effect).

• Reduces inflammation (anti-inflammatory) and anemia (antiedematous).

• Stimulates tissue regeneration (regeneration).

• accelerates the process of healing of injured tissues (bones, tendons, muscles and ligaments).

• Reduces spasm and muscle pain.

How it is performed?

• Laser therapy is applied by placing a probe (a small laser device that emits laser beams) to painful or acupuncture points on the body. The method is totally painless. Sometimes you may experience mild tingling, a feeling of warmth or pressure on the nerve.

• It is expected to experience improvement after a certain number of treatments (depending on the disease or condition being treated). For conditions or diseases that are chronic (lasting for a long period of time), a greater number of treatments are needed before you feel the improvement.

POTENTIAL RISKS

Laser Therapy has been successfully used for more than 25 years and no side effects and complications are known, if used in accordance with recommendations
